Global Pharmaceutical Observatory database

The GPO database is the repository for FIP’s pharmacy and pharmaceutical science data. It contains data that inform the indicators used to track progress against the FIP Development Goals.

Data from the GPO database supports:

• Country monitoring: providing analytic and evaluative descriptions of country pharmacy practice, workforce/education and pharmaceutical science and systematically monitoring developments;
• Analysis: exploring how pharmacy practice, workforce/education and pharmaceutical science make an impact needs assessment: supporting the development and interpretation of indicators for practical policy use and to help improve progress towards the FIP Development Goals;
• Evidence and impact: making GPO evidence visible via the GPO Atlas and useful to its target audiences by unpacking and sharing it in a range of formats.
